Good luck making sense of things on Amazon and Ebay - they are trying to sell you a light, not educate you. Most grow lights are made in China, so the language used only adds to the confusion. That's why we built this site.
We work a 60-acre organic farm in Ithaca, NY. We use grow lights year round for both seedlings and plants - especially in the winter. We have learned the good, the bad, and the ugly on Grow Lights.
Why? LEDs use much less electricty; is where all the research and delelopment is happening; each year LEDs become brighter and more efficient. This is the future - we will only review LED grow lights.
